Oh goodness. I really don’t know where to start with this one. I’ve known Katy for about 8 years now. I first met her when she was Annies (now my wife) college roommate. There are so many stories I could tell. I was basically an additional roommate in their apartment in Madison at the University of Wisconsin (I love Wisconsin!). I haven’t known Joel as long but I remember the first time I met him. I was shooting Chloes wedding, Katys sister. I remember thinking, wow. He’s so chill. And funny. And he cooks. Alright. I think I like him! My favorite thing he says to Katy is “Alright, let’s trim some of the fat off this story and get to it.” 🙂
Anyways, when Katy asked me to shoot the wedding I was like “Heck yes I will!” (Napoleon Dynamite reference…that movie is 10 years old now. Can you believe that?! Anyways, I’m getting off track). I knew that I was going to be allowed to mix shooting this wedding with a lot of fun and dancing and I sure did! The day was just so beautiful and totally…them! From the venue to the style of her dress…everything. I’m so excited to see where Katy + Joels adventures through marriage will take them! Guys, we’ve got your back! We love you! Enjoy these photos!
Did I mention that my wife co-officiated the wedding? What an honor! (Hottest co-officiant I’ve ever seen).
Me and my missus. No selfie stick required for this shot.
Tess was a little nervous about giving her toast to the bride + groom.
Shout out to Joels sister, Elle who rocked the design of the menus, guest book, programs, etc. They looked so rad! Wow, guys. What a day! Thanks so much for having us there to spend it with you two! We love you!
